Kamlesh Pattni is now Paul. Wonders, they say, never cease to happen, "but God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform!" and so the Kenyan government has forgiven him.

Kamlesh Mansukhlal Damji Pattni born 1962 in Mombasa, he allegedly used his company Goldenberg International ltd to steal billions of shillings, in league with prominent politicians and government officials in the Goldenberg scandal.

The Goldenberg scam was involved licenses and factious credits under Prof Saitoti who served as finance minister under Moi.

Many other people were also undoubtedly involved. The effects of Goldenberg were devastating to Kenya's economy in the late 1990s.

He claimed “at the age of 24-year-old, inexperienced businessman, I easily summoned Mr James Kanyotu the Director of Intelligence to all sorts of meetings to my offices”. Goldenberg Hearing

Under Moi regime he was jailed on numerous occasions but not put behind bars for life. Now Kanu done away with  in the 2002 election, Goldenberg Commission was formed to un-mask those culprits at central bank and national bank of Kenya, that made easy for Kamlesh to steal billions  of Kenya’s tax payers money.

Dr Kamau Kuria appointed by the president Kibaki as assistant council colluded with Kamlesh Pattni and compromised the commission mandate to free kamlesh of all corruption charges.

As per the AG’s presentation, the goldenberg commission costs the public 350 million. This has astonished the parliamentarians and attracted alot of criticisms and resentments that led many Kenyans view the whole process as a scam itself.

Using the church as a cover-up for his past, he renounced the Hindu religion and now baptised christian taking the name of Paul.

Converting not enough to immune him for his past deeds, he joined the political masters and became the chairman of Kenya National Democratic Alliance (KENDA), a small political party.

Feb 3rd2006, Mr Kibaki received the Goldenberg Report;  as the top executive he has the power to tamper and liquidate the report, letting off the hook and clearing those most suspected to have hatched the biggest scandal in Kenya’s history.    Not a secret to be a smoke screen, the report gives the impression to have reached a dead end and Amos Wako, the AG is powerless as it stands to act on it.

Top of the list to be cleared for wrong doing is Prof Saitoti, the current education minister who was implicated in the Goldenberg scandal and blamed to have approved contracts during his tenure as finance minister in the 1990s’.

Paul (kamlesh) the man who hatched Goldenberg, currently serves Kenyans as director of Kenyan National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he is in charge of export and tourism.

Pattni today walking bold, seems to be save under Kibaki Government, does he think Kenyans to be the same old brainless blacks colonized by few whites from the tiny British Island? Perhaps they may be.

It is a disgrace for all Kenyans to suffer in the hands of an asian youngster aged 24 yrs, corrupting all levels of government, grounding the country’s economy.

In reality nothing is happening at Ringera’s office the so called Kenya Anti Corruption Commission other than dishonest and deceiving the public.

Kenya and corruption co-habit, interdependent and difficult to separate, therefore let’s not waste recourses on fighting corruption while showing off westerners.
